What the report shows
A PDF you could forward to your CEO, built only from answers we actually recorded.
Your visibility score
How often the engines name you, weighted by where you land in the list and whether they cite your own pages.
Where rivals win
The exact buyer questions where a competitor gets named and you do not, with the company that took each one.
Can engines read you
Thirteen checks on your own site: AI crawler access, schema, llms.txt, sitemap, the things that decide whether you are quotable.
Five fixes, ranked
What to do first, ordered by impact against how quickly it lands. Never a link on a competitor's site.
How the AI visibility check works
Three minutes, no account, and every number comes from an answer we actually recorded.
We read your website
What you sell, to whom, and where. From that we write about fifteen questions a buyer in your category would put to an AI engine, from "best X for Y" to comparisons with the names they already know.
We ask the engines
Every question goes to Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. We record who each answer names, in what order, and which websites it cites as its sources.
You get a score and the gaps
An AI visibility score out of 100, the competitor named most often instead of you, thirteen checks on whether engines can read your site, and the five fixes that would move the score first.
What AI visibility means for your business
AI visibility is how often AI answer engines name your company when a buyer asks them who to consider in your category, and whether they cite your own pages when they do. The engines are ChatGPT with web search, Perplexity, Google Gemini and Google AI Overviews. A buyer types a question such as "best incident management software for engineering teams"; the engine answers with three to six companies, a sentence on each, and the sources it trusted. Your visibility is your share of those answers, weighted by where you appear in the list and by whether the engine quoted your site or someone else's. It is measured, not estimated: the check on this page puts about fifteen such questions to all four engines and records every answer. A score of 60 or more means you are named in most answers and cited in some; below 25 means the engines rarely mention you when it matters.
A growing share of buying research now starts as a question to an AI assistant instead of a search box. The answer is not ten blue links; it is a short list of three to six companies, with a sentence on each, and the buyer rarely looks past it. If you are not on that list, you are not in the running, whatever your Google ranking says.
Engines build that list from what they can read and what they trust: your own pages, if their crawlers are allowed in and the pages say plainly what you do; and third-party sources such as review sites, directories, comparison articles and forums. AI visibility is the measurable result of both, and the report shows you which half is holding you back.
This is sometimes called generative engine optimisation or answer engine optimisation. The names will settle; the question a buyer asks will not change: who should I be talking to? The check tells you whether the engines say your name.
Questions people ask before running it
The short answers. Every one is also true of the report you get.
What is AI visibility?
How often AI answer engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews name your company when a buyer asks them who to consider in your category, and whether they cite your own pages when they do. It is the generative-search equivalent of ranking on page one.
How is the AI visibility score calculated?
We read your website, write about fifteen questions a buyer in your category would ask, put each one to every engine, and record the answers. Your score weighs how often you are named, how high in the list you appear, and whether the engine cited your site as a source. A second score covers whether engines can read your site at all: crawler access, structured data, llms.txt and ten other checks.
Which AI engines do you check?
Perplexity, ChatGPT with web search, Google Gemini with search grounding, and Google AI Overviews. Each is asked the same questions so you can see where you are named on one and missing on another.
Is the check really free?
Yes. You enter your website and region, and the score appears on this page in about three minutes. The full PDF, with the questions you are missing from and the fixes, opens when you give a work email. No card and no call.
What is in the PDF report?
Your visibility and site-readiness scores, the exact buyer questions where a competitor is named and you are not, which sources the engines trusted, the thirteen technical checks on your site, and five fixes ranked by impact.
What is llms.txt and do I need one?
A plain-text file at yourdomain.com/llms.txt that tells AI systems what your site is and where its most useful pages are, the way robots.txt speaks to crawlers. It is one of the checks in the report, and one of the fixes we make on every plan.
Can I run the check more than once?
Each website is scanned once a week; asking again inside that week returns the same report. Each visitor gets one new scan a day. Plans include monthly or weekly rescans so you can watch the score move.
